SayStock Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026 Applies to iOS and Android
com.amcompany.saystock),
available on iOS and Android (collectively, the «App»). By downloading, installing, creating an
account for, or otherwise using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this
Policy and agree to the practices described herein. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do
not use the App. We reserve the right to modify, amend, or update this Policy at any time and
at our sole discretion, as described in Section 15 below.
1. Who We Are
SayStock is a business inventory management application (stock control, products, warehouses, suppliers, customers, inbound/outbound/transfer movements, and physical inventory counts), with optional features for user accounts, cloud synchronization, reporting, voice dictation, and advertising. The data controller responsible for the personal data described in this Policy is amcompany.net, the developer and operator of SayStock.
You may contact us with any privacy or data protection question at: saystock@amcompany.net.
2. Information We Collect
SayStock is designed to function fully offline and without requiring an account. Account creation and cloud synchronization are optional, premium features. The information we collect depends on which features you choose to use.
2.1 Account Information (Optional)
If you choose to create an account, we collect:
- Email address and password (your password is stored encrypted/hashed by our authentication provider and is never stored in plain text).
- If you sign in with Google or Apple: the identifier, name, and email address provided by those services with your authorization.
- Your email verification status.
2.2 Inventory and Business Data (Local, and in the Cloud if You Enable Sync)
- Products, prices, costs, codes, categories, and units of measure, and stock levels.
- Warehouses, storage locations, suppliers, and customers.
- Inbound, outbound, and transfer movements, and physical inventory counts.
This information is always stored locally on your device (in a SQLite database). If you enable cloud synchronization (a Pro feature), the same information is also securely stored with our backend provider, associated exclusively with your account.
2.3 Product Photographs
If you grant camera or photo library permission, you may photograph products to identify them visually in your inventory. These photos are stored locally on your device and, if you enable cloud synchronization, are also stored in secure cloud storage associated with your account.
2.4 Voice and Audio Data
SayStock offers an optional voice-dictation feature that lets you register products, inbound entries, and outbound entries by speaking instead of typing. Audio is processed using your device’s native speech-recognition engine (iOS/Android) to convert speech to text. SayStock does not record or store audio files; it only uses the resulting text to populate the relevant form.
2.5 Advertising Identifiers and Ad Data
Users without a Pro subscription may see advertisements (banner and interstitial) served through Google AdMob. Where you authorize it via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt (iOS) or your Android advertising identifier settings, your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA/GAID) may be used to show more relevant ads. If you do not grant this permission, the App will continue to display ads, but without personalization based on your activity in other apps.
2.6 Analytics and Stability Data (Crash Reporting)
We use analytics and error-monitoring tools to understand general app usage and to detect technical failures (for example, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics). This data includes aggregated usage information, device model, operating system version, technical installation identifiers, and crash/error logs. This information is not used to personally identify you outside the context of technical diagnostics.
2.7 Purchases and Subscriptions
If you purchase the Pro version, payment processing is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play (SayStock does not receive or store your card or payment method details). We use a third-party subscription management provider to verify your purchase status (active, expired, refunded), associated with a user identifier (the same identifier as your account, if you have one).
2.8 Technical Data Collected Automatically
- IP address (processed transiently by our providers’ servers/CDN).
- Device model, operating system and version, and configured language.
- Technical app-installation identifiers (not always linked to your identity).
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the App’s core functionality (inventory management).
- To create and manage your account and enable sign-in.
- To synchronize your inventory and photos across your devices when you enable that feature (Pro benefit).
- To process and verify your purchases and subscriptions.
- To display advertisements (and, where authorized, personalize them) to non-Pro users.
- To detect, diagnose, and fix technical errors, and to improve the App’s performance and stability.
- To communicate with you by email (for example, account verification, password recovery, and important service notices).
- To comply with applicable legal obligations and to protect the security of our users and systems.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or an equivalent framework applies, we process your data on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract: to provide the service you request when using the App (account, synchronization, purchases).
- Consent: for personalized advertising, camera/photo library/microphone permissions, and voice recognition — you may withdraw consent at any time in your device settings.
- Legitimate interest: for aggregated analytics, fraud prevention, and app diagnostics/stability.
- Legal obligation: where we must retain or disclose information under applicable law.
5. How We Share Information (Third-Party Service Providers)
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the App, each subject to their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not share your data with third parties for those parties’ own marketing purposes, other than the advertising described in Section 6.
| Provider | Purpose | Data Involved |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Account authentication, cloud database, and photo storage for Pro sync | Email, login credentials, inventory data, product photos |
| Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) | Usage analytics, crash reporting, remote app configuration | Aggregated usage data, technical identifiers, crash logs |
| Google AdMob | Serving advertisements to non-Pro users | Advertising identifier (if authorized), device technical data |
| RevenueCat | Purchase and subscription management and verification | User identifier, purchase/subscription status and history |
| Google Sign-In / Sign in with Apple | Social sign-in | Identifier, name, and email you authorize |
| Apple App Store / Google Play | App distribution and payment processing | Payment data handled entirely by Apple/Google, not by SayStock |
We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, or competent authority, or to protect our rights, the safety of our users, or to prevent fraud.
6. Advertising, Identifiers, and App Tracking Transparency
On iOS, before your advertising identifier is used for personalization purposes, we request your authorization through Apple’s native App Tracking Transparency prompt. You may change your decision at any time from Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking (iOS) or from your Google account’s ad settings (Android). Declining this permission does not affect the App’s functionality; it only disables ad personalization.
7. International Data Transfers
Our service providers (Supabase, Google/Firebase, RevenueCat) may process and store data on servers located outside your country of residence, including the United States and the European Union. Where this occurs, these providers apply recognized safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or other applicable international data transfer mechanisms) to protect your information in accordance with applicable law.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
- Data stored locally on your device remains there until you uninstall the App or delete it manually.
- Account and cloud-synced data is retained for as long as your account remains active.
- If you delete your account, your personal data and cloud-synced inventory data are permanently deleted, except where we are required to retain information to comply with a legal obligation or to resolve disputes.
- Technical, analytics, and diagnostic logs are retained for limited periods in accordance with each provider’s retention policies.
9. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all communication with our servers, encrypted/hashed password storage, and Row Level Security rules on our cloud database that ensure each user can only access their own data. No system is completely infallible; while we work continuously to maintain the security of our platform, we cannot guarantee absolute security against attacks or unforeseeable failures beyond our reasonable control. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim liability for any unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of data resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
10. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, and Similar Laws)
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your personal data («right to erasure»).
- Portability: receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities (for example, personalized advertising).
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
- Not be subject to automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects without human intervention (SayStock does not engage in this type of processing).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at saystock@amcompany.net. We will respond within the time frames required by the law applicable to your jurisdiction. If you reside in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Deleting Your Account and Data
You may request the complete deletion of your account and any associated cloud data at any time from the App’s account settings or by emailing saystock@amcompany.net. Please note that data stored only on your device (local mode, without synchronization) is deleted when you uninstall the App or delete it manually from within the App.
12. Children’s Privacy
SayStock is a business inventory management tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without appropriate parental or guardian consent, please contact us so that we can delete it promptly.
13. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
SayStock offers an optional «Pro» subscription that unlocks additional features (cloud synchronization, report exporting, higher limits, among others). Purchases are processed exclusively through the Apple App Store or Google Play, subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We do not have access to your payment data (card number, bank details, etc.).
14. Offline Use and Responsibility for Local Data
If you use SayStock without creating an account or enabling cloud synchronization, all of your inventory data remains exclusively on your device, and you are solely responsible for backing it up. We have no access to, copy of, or ability to recover data stored only locally. We recommend enabling cloud synchronization or exporting periodic backups (a feature available within the App) if your business depends on this information. We assume no liability for the loss of data stored only locally on your device.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update, modify, or replace this Privacy Policy at any time and at our sole discretion, without prior notice, to reflect changes in the law, our technology, our data practices, or our business operations. Any changes will be posted on this same page, with the «Last updated» date at the top revised accordingly. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice of material changes (for example, an in-app notice). Your continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically. This Policy is the version currently in effect and supersedes all prior versions.
